Step 1: Prepare Your Hair

Start with clean, dry hair to make braiding smoother. Use a brush to smooth flyaways and create gentle sections. Lightly spritz with texturizing spray if your hair tends to slip.

Step 2: Gather Hair into a Collector

Pull all hair to the right side (your preferred side) and secure it with a hair elastic. Make the gathering slightly wider than your desired braid width. If easier, start small for practice—patience is key.

Step 3: Begin the Braiding Process

Take a small section from the inside edge of your upward-gathered section. Divide it into three equal parts:
